A friend of mine emailed me this morning say 'yes, yes, yes, I am and always have been an infinite -- albeit an undercover one'. That made me smile. I know exactly what she means. I know all these amazing people who would also say they've been infinites all their lives, yet not wanting others to know it, trying to be less weird, endeavouring to fit in under the radar wherever possible.
These undercover infinites are, in my view, the backbone of life today. They've quietly gone about being their infinite selves, dropping seeds of awesomeness everywhere they go. The people close to them know they're very different and might have even tried to get them to tame it down. But nothing will tame down an infinite. So their best strategy for the last couple of decades has been to go undercover to do their work for the world.
Undercover infinites wander the forests, rivers and mountains of this world giving glory to Nature in every form. They cherish the small quiet moments where Life bursts into wild glory in someone's life. They bring the Light to the dark spots, awaken the miraculous in the desperate moments and call godness forth in everything they see and touch.
In recent years they've been coming out of the proverbial closet more and standing as brilliant role models for living as infinites on planet Earth. They are a delight to know, a treasure to call a friend, and a wonder wandering unleashed in the world.
Here's to all the undercover infinites. I tip my hat to you all.
